Steady and slow

 
sometimes I wonder
why it always takes so long why I always gotta be strong and patient
 
sometimes I wish I
I wish I had what other people have wish I did what other people do and I can’t
 
but than I recall
what a good friend once told me
you got to remember where you’re from and I’m a mountain girl

and the mountains are my home
 
and people, people from the mountains they sure do know
if you want to reach the top you - gotta walk slow
