The Wicked Witch of the West (Character) 2:01
Note: The music “tells” the story-line which is to be interpreted in character/mime.
The wicked witch is flying around and sees a house caught in a tornado fall out of the sky and land on top of her evil sister (The Wicked witch of the East) killing her instantly.
She is enraged to see sweet little Dorothy emerge from the house to be welcomed by the Munchkins and the good witch Glinda.
In a rage she flies down to confront Dorothy and Glinda.
But she has no power in Munchkinland and leaves to plot her revenge.
Back at her castle she plots and schemes and manages to capture Dorothy and take her to her castle.
The Lion, Scarecrow and Tinman come to the castle and set Dorothy free – But the wicked witch is there to stop them and sets fire to the scarecrow. But quick thinking Dorothy throws some water onto the scarecrow and also accidentally onto the witch.
The witch screams because water can kill her.
She melts away until only her hat, cloak and broom remain!
